Inkjet
Below is a breakdown of the areas we cover in terms of inkjet machines, using the latest technology our machines offer a unique and productive solution.
|
| Drop-on-Demand (DOD) |
 |
DOD inkjet is the most durable inkjet printing technology. Each print head contains several valves (usually 7, 16, or 32) that print dots at regular intervals.
The valves arrayed in a single column, spray on demand to form characters on your product as it is conveyed adjacent to the print head.
Small character DOD – for porous and non-porous surfaces, increased flexibility, detailed high resolution information.
Large character DOD – for cartons and porous surface marking.

| High Resolution Inkjet |
 |
High-end, non-contact inkjet printers offer superior resolution and may eliminate the need for labels entirely.
Using high resolution element technology, the Matthews printers are robust enough to operate in challenging industrial environments, and designed to print graphics, logos and barcodes onto a variety of porous substrates including cardboard, wood, paper and pulp.

| Continuous InkJet |
 |
Continuous inkjet (CIJ) is a non-contact form of high-speed printing used to apply variable information such as dates, text, batch codes, product names and logos to individual products on the production line.
CIJ printing is fast and versatile and can print on most materials regardless of size, shape and texture. Matthews CIJ printers are easy to use; have proven reliability and superior design and are capable of matching the speeds of the fastest production lines.
